Meet Your Counsellor

Derek Wright (BSW, MSW, RSW) earned his Masters Degree in Social Work from the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Toronto in 2001. He has over fifteen years of experience in providing counselling to the community.

Prior to being a registered Social Worker, Derek worked as a rehabilitation assistant with clients and families impacted by traumatic brain injury. From 2000-2008, Derek provided counselling services to children, youth, individuals, couples, and families through Family Services (a non-profit organization). It was here that he developed and facilitated treatment groups for children and teens.

Currently, Derek facilitates court mandated treatment groups for men and provides private counselling to individuals, couples, and families in his private practice.
